The CAD file for the case extension used in the Openmokast project is available as a Pro Engineer document. The design of the extension was based on the CAD files of the FreeRunner that were previously released by Openmoko. As it was the case for these original CAD files, the Openmokast extension is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License.

We would like to see people use the design to create their own hardware modification of the FreeRunner platform. With little effort, it would even be possible to create a larger extension to support multiple new hardware capabilities all at once (though mobility would then be seriously compromised ).

To generate actual plastic prototypes, we used the services of a local company (http://cimetrixsolutions.com/) and ordered a small quantity of 3D printouts in ABS. Other provider of such custom ABS parts could also be found at http://www.protomold.com and https://www.redeyerpm.com.
